Computers and Printing

The library offers free wireless internet access, as well as three computer workstations equipped with Microsoft Office software. Headphones and an Infogrip Bigtrack mouse are also available on request. We are happy to offer basic assistance with WiFi and computers, but are unable to troubleshoot patrons’ personal devices or help patrons access personal accounts such as Gmail, Amazon, etc.

Rules of Use:

  • You must sign in at the circulation desk before and after each session.
  • Computers are available for 30-minute sessions on a first-come, first-served basis. If no one else is waiting at the end of a session, you may have another session, up to 90 minutes per day, per patron.
  • Be considerate of other patrons; when listening to music or viewing videos, please have the sound off unless using headphones.
  • Before being granted computer access, children under 18 years of age must sign the Internet Use Agreement and have a parent or guardian sign with them.
  • Parents and guardians of minors are responsible for their child’s use of the computers, as library staff are unable to monitor or restrict content available to them via the internet.
  • Children 10 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian while using the computers.
  • All computers will be shut down 5 minutes before the library closes.

You May Not:

  • Download, install, delete, or modify any hardware, software, or change any settings on the computers.
  • View material that is illegal or inappropriate in a library setting.
  • Expose children to harmful materials as outlined in Wisconsin State Statute 948.11.

Please note: the Boyceville Public Library cannot guarantee the security of any personal information shared on websites while using our computers or on their personal devices while accessing the library’s wireless network.

Printing and Copying

Photocopy and printing services are available to patrons. Black and white copies are $.10 per page and color copies are $.25 per page. Please note: we are no longer able to fax documents.

Patrons may send printing directly to library printers from any of the computer workstations, or email their documents to [email protected] for the staff to print on their behalf. Photocopies may be made at the circulation desk.
