Internet Use
Free wireless internet access is available to patrons. The library staff offers basic assistance in getting started with the wireless network; however, staff members are not trained to troubleshoot patrons’ personal devices. Security for personal data rests solely with patrons.
- Prior to being granted internet access, those under 18 years of age must sign the Internet Use Agreement along with a parent or guardian. Children 10 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian while using the computers.
- All users must sign the log-in chart prior to starting a session
- Internet is available in thirty (30) minute sessions on a first-come, first-served basis. If no one else is waiting at the end of a session, another thirty minute session may be used. The maximum daily usage is 90 minutes per patron.
- Privileges will be revoked for misuse of the computer or software.
Printing and Copying
Photocopy and printing services are available to patrons. Black and white copies are $.10 per page and color copies are $.25 per page. Please note: we are no longer able to fax documents.
Patrons may send printing directly to library printers from any of the computer workstations, or email their documents to [email protected] for the staff to print on their behalf. Photocopies may be made at the circulation desk.
Meeting Room
The meeting room at the BPL is available free of charge for community use on a limited basis when it is not needed for library functions. The room may be used during library hours; special arrangements need to be made with the Director for meetings held during non-library hours. Reservations are made by visiting the library and filling out an application.
Meeting Room Guidelines:
- Scheduling hours must include the total time the room will be in use, including set-up and clean-up. Attendees must be out of the room by the time the library closes.
- The meeting room may only be used for events where admission is not charged.
- Event cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance.
- The library cannot store articles from one meeting to the next.
- Alcohol, tobacco products, and illegal drugs are prohibited on library grounds.
- Please leave the room in the condition you found it: remove trash, sweep floors, and return chairs, tables and other items to their original locations.
